Caroline, Barrow and Cate joined the Aggie Outlaws summer swim team. They improved their butterfly, freestyle, breast and backstrokes during the weekly practice. They competed in several meets against local summer swim teams.

We had a picnic, then played in the sand, sled and rolled down the hills!

After the first week of the dance intensive, Caroline brought Greer home for the weekend.  Caroline and Greer became friends last year, when she roomed with her for the 2011 dance intensive.  They spent about 3 hours in the bathroom, having their own spa day!

Caroline attended the Dance Theater Southwest Summer Intensive.  When we took her to Albuquerque, we spend the afternoon at Explora. She rode the bike - on a high wire - over the lower floor of the museum!

Caroline chose South Carolina for her state presentation at school.

It was fun to just relax at the campsite...eating homemade ice-cream from Doc Campell's Store!

We spent lots of time playing in the Gila River

We were unable to hike other trails in the Gila National Forest because a fire was 14 miles from the cliff dwellings.  As our camping trip ended, the fire merged with another fire, and it became the largest fire in New Mexico history.

We enjoyed learning about the lives of the Mogollons who lived in the cliff dwellings.

On Memorial Day weekend, we met the Binkley and Pollard families in the Gila National Forest, for a weekend of camping.
